Watercolour, Ed and Al Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, CONQUEROR OF SHAMBALLA STYLE!

Hello everyone, I got back from America, and now back in beautiful Canada at 7 AM in the morning. I'm still a little tired, but I can finally upload this! Excuse the colour, the scanner likes to screw it up.

i wanted to do this A LOONG time after I watched CoS, but I didn't have the right materials, like the brown pen and watercolour paper.
I WANTED TO MURDER ALL THE BOOKS IN THE PICTURE. Holy mother of details, there's a lot of those here! I tried so hard, and I'm quite pleased with the outcome. OH ED <3
My first time drawing Human Alphonse, and I'm quite happy about how it turned out. The thing that gave me the most grief was the ACTUAL STYLE (I'm more used to Manga/Brotherhood), and the FREAKING ROUND THING BETWEEN AL AND ED

Conqueror of Shamballa. I'm gonna rant on it. I watched the sub, the dub, and the German dub (For fun, I could understand the general context, but not everything), AND I'M STILL CONFUSED. What...just...happened?! What's with the gate? Why does it need to be closed on both sides? Why did it require a sacrifice when Dante didn't need one? And when Envy crossed it?  WHAT IS MUSTANG SMOKING?! Who actually killed Hughes (Okay I know, but the characters don't)? WHAT. JUST. HAPPENED?!

I tried to like it, I really did...I tried REALLY hard to like it but I couldn't....

So, here's my thoughts...

Things I liked:
1. THE FREAKING MUSIC!!! Oh my, it was just beautiful
2. The art style and animation
3. The voice acting, as usual, in all 3 languages. (I love Ed's German voice! I LOVE IT)
4. The counterparts (Except Noah), it was a cute idea. I loved that Greed's minions had counterparts, and Hughes, even though he was a Nazi
5. Ed. Duh!
6. Hohenheim dies! WITH A LOT OF BLOOD MUAHAHAHAHA
7. HISTORY! It was so cool how I saw war-time Munich, and all the historical references in our world (I'm a nerd)

Things I hated:
1. NOAH. FREAKING NOAH! WHY?! I hated Rose already, but then you bring in NOAH?! WHY?!
2. The whole plot line. I mean...what?! Especially the end. The more I think about it, the more I think Ed could have just said: "Hey Colonel, hey Al, I'll just pop over to the other side of the gate to tell them to destroy it! BRB! I'm coming back!" And what was with that gate anyways? (See rant above). YOU'D THINK THE EARTHLINGS WOULD HAVE MORE SENSE AND DESTROY IT WHEN THEY SAW DIETLINDE ECKHART
3. The fact that they made MORE QUESTIONS instead of answering old ones
4. Mustang's...situation. He would not give up his ambitions and sit in the middle of freaking nowhere because one kid got lost. Even if that kid was Ed
        4.1.  Why Hawkeye wasn't with him, and why she hasn't shot him because he strayed from his path (Was that mentioned in 2003? I forgot)
5. Lack of Envy. I MEAN COME ON! GIVE HIM MORE THAN 2 SENTENCES AND 5 MINUTES OF SCREEN TIME!
6. Warth/Izumi reunion. I mean...AWKWARDDDD
7. The ending. If everyone died, there would've been finality, but because there was that weird, unsatisfying ending, the series end just felt like a cruel joke to me. 
8. Technology. Tell me why people in the 1920's would wear medieval armour? And why did we even need the rockets? Couldn't they have made the portal/gate in a better place and WALK THROUGH like a normal person?
9. Hughes was a surprising jerk in this...and we never found out who killed him.
10. Convenient use of alchemy on Earth where it isn't suppose to exist by Ed and Echkart! And what was with her rant before sending the soldiers into "Shamballa"? All I could pick up from it was "Regenbogen" which means Rainbow in German, and I doubt it has ANYTHING to do with Rainbows XD
11. Plot holes...so many...
12. The stupidity of all the characters is colossal.
13. NOOOAHHHH. SAY NO TO NOAH! SAY NO TO ANY SHIPPINGS WITH HER. 
14. Ed going all emo. I mean, I know he's depressed, but he's just not the same adorable, comedic and sassy character that I completely fell in love with within the first 10 pages of the manga. Ed was so...EMPTY!
15. Creepy gate baby things. I'll take Truth over those gate children any day o_O
And what purpose do they even serve?

All in all, it was a huge disappointment, I wanted to like it. I really did. But I couldn't...it was just a big joke to me.
Well, at least they had good music <3

I had to get that out of my system. Regardless of my opinons on the movie, I hope you enjoy this picture
